Acer palmatum 'Shojo' is a purple-red leaved, medium sized Japanese maple. In fact, the leaves are almost a black-red. Vigorous upright growth in the early years, spreading out more over time. Fall colour is a crimson red. Expect 'Shojo' to reach about 12-14' tall over time.
