Shipping

Due to the time-sensitivity of shipping live plants, and large boxes required, shipping plants is a costly challenge. For these reasons and others, we suggest you review the following information:

Sales and shipping are only available to customers with a Canadian shipping address. No P.O. Boxes. 1 AND 2 GALLON SIZES ARE OUR MOST COMMON SIZES  AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING.  PLEASE CONTACT US FOR 3 GALLON ORDERS.  All container sizes are available for local, by-appointment purchase, or during one of our open houses.

We ship Canada-wide, with Canada Post Xpresspost. Shipping time is 1-2 days for BC, and the Prairie Provinces. 3-4 days for Ontario, Québec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. 4 days for PEI and Newfoundland. 

DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF SHIPPING, THE BEST VALUE IS FOUND WHEN MAXIMIZING THE AMOUNT OF TREES THAT FIT INTO EACH BOX SIZE. Below we have provided estimated shipping rates and approximate quantities of trees that fit into each side box. When your cart exceeds the maximum permitted in a certain sized box then the shipping is calculated up to the next size, or some cases, calculates an additional package to accomodate the quantity of trees ordered. Occasionally, trees may not fit into the package and have to be upsized to the next larger box. We will inform you of this before completing your order. This a less than perfect science, but we are constantly striving to fit as many trees as we can into the smallest package size possible.

PLEASE NOTE: The chart shows the cost of packages with like sizes of containers (all 1 gallons or, all 2 gallons). Small boxes ONLY fit 1 gallon containers. Also, the small, medium and large boxes all have a shipping cost that is relative to that size (+/- a few dollars). SO, REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS IN THE BOX, A SMALL BOX WILL HAVE A DEDICATED COST ASSOCIATED WITH THAT SIZE, AS WILL A MEDIUM, AND A LARGE. Due to the various container size combinations possible we can't possibly list them all but here are some combinations possible:

Medium Box:

1x 2 gallon AND 2-3x 1 gallons

1x 2 gallon AND 1x 1 gallon (large tree)

2x 2 gallons (one or two small trees) AND 1x 1 gallon

Large Box:

1x 2 gallon AND 3-4x 1 gallons

2x 2 gallons AND 1x 1 gallon (large tree)

2x 2 gallons AND 2-3x 1 gallons

3 gallon containers do not fit into any of these boxes however, you can assume the shipping cost to be more than a medium box and but possibly less than a large. Tree sizes will vary so this is calculated on a case-by-case basis.

Finally, weather is something we take into account before shipping. Winter orders will have shipping delayed until early spring. And during the summer months, during extreme heat shipping may be delayed as well. Otherwise, during the main growing season orders go out on Mondays.
