Similar to 'Aoyagi' with its green bark and light yellow-green leaves, Acer palmatum 'Kawahar no midori' is a standout tree for winter interest as well as it's appeal during the growing season. This vase-shaped tree can handle full but in hotter locations should be given afternoon shade or filtered light.
Green leaves and almost matching green bark colour make this tree attractive. Yellow fall colour. You could pair this with other Japanese maples that provide winter bark interest, such as 'Bihou'. 'Kawahara no midori' can grow to about 8-10' tall and less wide in ten years.
