Also known as, 'Ueno homare'. This medium-sized tree is in the group of trees with the yellow spring leaf colours like 'Katsura'. Small leaves with bright yellow-orange colour with some reddish edging. The colours turn more to a yellow-green for summer or green before yellows and oranges return for fall.
Expect 'Ueno yama' to grow to about 15' tall. A great choice for a small to medium specimen tree in the garden. Or, use a bonsai like many enthusiasts do.
