Every "named" variety of Japanese maple must have qualities that differentiate it from another variety before it gets it can get a stamp of approval in the world of Japanese maple experts, and 'Tiger Rose' is no exception. Fall colours are more orange and red, compared to the usual yellows for typical ghost, reticulated types. And leaf shape is also quite different that many other reticulated varieties.
'Tiger Rose' becomes a tree of about 10' tall, with a similar semi-pendulous habit as 'Omure yama'. It maintains it's best colouring when given protection from the afternoon sun. So, plant in the shade of a building, or other tree.
