A very unusual cultivar, 'Peve Multicolor' is not only variegated and reticulated but also can display it's traits quite differently from year to year, not unlike 'Ukigumo'. Environmental conditions are the reasons for the variations. This could be nutrient and water availability, sun, rain, winter cold, or all of the above.
The variegation can be a white leaf dusted with minute amounts of green, green veins and purple leaf edging. The border colouring will fade in summer. Fall colours are golden yellows and oranges. Best grown in filtered light or protected from afternoon sun.
Grows to 8'x4' in ten years.
