I'm a fan of strapleaf Japanese maples, and with good reason. They are beautiful, give a tropical vibe to your garden and patio space. 'Ao yagi gawa' is no exception.
Similar to 'Koto-no-ito' but smaller. Spring colour is light green, becoming dark green and finally, fiery orange-red in the fall. The leaves may have three or five lobes. This tree may grow to be 8' or larger over time.
