Japanese maples are noted for their spring colour, fall colour or sometimes, the leaf colours from both seasons on the same tree. Oddly enough, 'Amber Ghost' is named from the early summer colour.
Leafing out in spring with pink leaves and green veins. Mid-summer colour are amber with green reticuation. Fall colours are oranges to reds. Growing 8-10' in 15 years, like 'First Ghost', Acer palmatum 'Amber Ghost' has a semi-pendulous growth habit.
