Orange-tinged green new leaves make 'Taki no gawa' a treat, along with it's large, full-moon style leaves. Summer leaf colour is green. Afternoon shade will help the leaves be larger. Like all japonicums, spectacular fall colours can be red or a combination of reds, yellows and oranges.
A slower grower, it can reach 10-12' tall and wide in fifteen years or more.
