SHIPPING CALCULATIONS UPDATE

So right now(April 9th) I think the shipping may be calculating correctly for orders with like sizes(only 1 gallons or only 2 gallons, etc..) but there is a little more testing to confirm. One customer order already confirmed this morning so that's encouraging.

STRONGLY SUGGEST you contact me for orders with mixed sizes present(1 gallon and a 2 gallon, etc.). AND, it's not a big deal if you want to confirm a shipping cost with me regardless of the order.

I will continue to work on getting the bugs out.

Finally, through all this I also realize that despite the minimal size change from our old small boxes (38x7x7") to the newer small size box (36x8x8"), the price difference is substantial for customers farther east of BC. About $30 more. So instead of say $95 to Ontario it's now $125. EEEK! So, I'll be trying to source this old box size once again.

If you're interested in the geekier side of the shipping problem, feel free to read on.

Usually, things run smoothly and orders are placed and I don't need to keep updating you with all this stuff. Unfortunately, what's happened is, there is some issue with the 3rd party app that puts all the pieces together, and in combination with our account with Canada Post, gives us the shipping cost. The app however, was not recognizing about half of our catalogue of 1 gallon sizes! Well over 100 trees. And it wouldn't allow me to edit this. Wouldn't allow me to add in, or even remove sizes I don't use anymore. I have the app support looking at it however, last night I started to experiment with a way to get around this. It was tedious and not ideal but so far it has allowed me to add in those product sizes. Without this, the app cannot make the necessary calculations. So in many instances orders with 1 gallon trees were getting seen as 2 gallon trees. And THAT is way more expensive!
