'Summer Gold' is a yellow leaved cultivar that can tolerate full sun. Maybe not in the first season when planted or in hot climates, but particularly a year or two after being planted in the landscape then the tree does well in full sun. Alternatively, keep in a container and find the right location. That said, if you're not sure if you live in a hot climate then err on the side of caution and give it afternoon shade or filtered light.
'Summer Gold' is a medium sized tree that has lovely orange-yellow leaves in spring which become yellow-green in summer, becoming yellow or yellow-orange in the fall. This tree may grow to about 13' tall and wide.
