There are few weeping maples that have the palmatum leaf shape. 'Omure yama' not only has palmate leaves, it has a fairly upright growing habit and eventually, with age, cascades down similar to a weeping willow or weeping cherry tree. A unique tree for sure.
Acer palmatum 'Omure yama' also has beautifully shaped matsumurae leaves. The tree leafs out in spring a pale green with an orange cast. Fall colours are gold with orange and red tones. 'Omure yama' can grow up to 15' tall and wide over time.
