Occasionally red-leaved varieties can have an almost purple quality but not many actually are purple. 'Manyo no sato' definitely is some purple BUT it's variegated purple and chartreuse green with interesting leaf shapes. Very cool.
Orange and red fall colour. Expect this tree to grow to about 8'x6' in ten years.
