Similar in colour to 'Baldsmith', Acer palmatum dissectum 'Watnong' is a fabulous lace leaf if you love the pink-toned Japanese maples. 'Watnong' has red leaves in the spring with a pink tone becoming more pink as the season changes. Sometimes the leaves bronze out in the summer but I've seen this tree stay very pink-red all summer given full sun. Particularly attractive if sited in a location where you can look and under the canopy. Like 'Baldsmith', this tree has a very multicoloured look to it in the summer. And fall leaves are oranges and reds.
This finely cut lace leaf maple can grow to 10' tall and possibly twice as wide!
