Acer palmatum 'Ariadne' is an upright form that is a reticulated type maple. Reticulated refers to the almost ghostly, translucent quality of the leaves (where the veins are quite visible and often of different colour). 'Ariadne' has spring leaves that emerge pink orange with green veins, becoming light apricot. Summer colour is maroon. In fall, the leaves are orange and red.
Provide 'Ariadne' with afternoon filtered light or shade. If no full morning sun, the leaves will be green reticulated without the peach tint. This tree matures to about 10' tall and 8' wide.
